What you can do

Hot tubs are awesome, right? Hot tub maintenance is essential for keeping your spa clean, safe and enjoyable. Regular maintenance can prevent bacteria growth, water quality issues, equipment damage and costly repairs. Here are some of the main aspects of hot tub maintenance that you should know:
Water balance: You should test the pH, alkalinity, calcium hardness and sanitizer levels of your hot tub water at least once a week, and adjust them as needed. The ideal ranges are: pH 7.2-7.8, alkalinity 80-120 ppm, calcium hardness 150-250 ppm and sanitizer (chlorine or bromine) 3-5 ppm. You can use test strips or a digital tester to measure these parameters.
Water change: You should drain and refill your hot tub water every 3-4 months, or more often if you use it frequently or notice cloudy or foamy water. This will help remove any buildup of organic matter, chemicals and minerals that can affect the water quality and the performance of your spa components.
Filter cleaning: You should rinse your hot tub filter with a hose every 2 weeks, and soak it in a filter cleaner solution every 2 months. This will remove any dirt, debris, oils and bacteria that can clog the filter and reduce the water flow and filtration efficiency.
Cover cleaning: You should wipe down your hot tub cover with a mild soap and water solution every month, and apply a vinyl protector every month. This will prevent the cover from cracking, fading, molding or mildewing, and extend its lifespan. This is critical due to the damaging sunshine in the UAE.
Enclosure cleaning: You should rinse and clean your hot tub enclosure with a mild soap and water solution every month, and apply a UV protector every month. This will prevent the enclosure from fading and extend its good appearance. This is critical due to the damaging sunshine in the UAE.
Shell cleaning: You should wipe down the inside of your hot tub shell with a non-abrasive cleaner every time you drain and refill the water. This will remove any stains, scum lines or residues that can affect the appearance and hygiene of your spa.
Regular filtration. Maintain good water circulation by running filtration cycle for 4 hours a day. This will help filter out contaminants and distribute chemicals evenly. Our engineers will configure optimal filtration during the installation and it is not necessary to adjust them.
